Donna Marie Davis

Donna Marie Davis passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of October 23, 2018. She was born on April 19, 1940 in Klamath Falls, Oregon. Donna was the oldest of four children born to Donald and Kathryn Conn. She married George Albert Davis on August 27, 1955 in Arcata on West End Road and have since resided there for the last 63 years.

Donna worked various jobs throughout her life until she retired from the Humboldt County Welfare Services Department. Donna was an avid bird watcher, enjoyed crafting and was present at all sporting events for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a campfire and Girl Scout leader for many years and volunteered at the Arcata Senior Center, Katie’s Crafters and with the Emergency Food Assistance Program.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Kathryn Conn, and her brother Jess Conn. She is survived by her husband, George Davis, brothers William Conn and Donald Conn, daughter Cathryn Babinski and husband Bobby and son Steven Davis and wife Donna. Grandchildren Jessica Barri, James Ketchum, Stephanie Childress and husband William, Kristina Ellsworth and husband Dennis, Katelyn Edmonds and husband Samuel and her 10 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at Sanders Funeral Home 1835 E Street, Eureka. Public viewing at 2 p.m. and services at 3 p.m. on Monday, October 29, 2018.
