George Faustino Obituary

In Loving Memory of

George Manuel Faustino
September 26, 1928 – February 14, 2019

George Manuel Faustino passed away at the Emmerson Hospice House on February 14, 2019 at the age of 90 after a brief illness.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Marilyn Faustino; his children Tina Stachel and Tracy Faustino; grandchildren Desiree Faustino, Tara Faustino, Tracy A Faustino, and Amanda Faustino; great grandchildren Andrea Lillian, Natalie Layla, Nova Lynn, Anthony Lee, Ellie Anabella, and Malia Rose; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father and mother Joseph and Mary Faustino. He was the last surviving sibling of seven children: Leslie Faustino, Margert Mitchel, Joseph Faustino, Dorothy Boyd, Henry Faustino, and Chester Faustino.

George was born and raised in Bayside. He worked as a Millwright for Louisiana Pacific and Arcata Flakeboard for over 50 years.

George was a very devoted and loving husband, father, and hardworking man. He was humble and kind but tough and funny, and we can’t forget very set in his ways. People enjoyed his company and he enjoyed theirs.

He was a member of the Elks Lodge # 652 for many years, where he enjoyed meeting with his friends and playing cards. He and his wife Marilyn were seen for many years at Cher-Ae Heights. Bingo was something they looked forward to on a daily basis. They loved spending this time with their many friends.

Hobbies included Salmon fishing, hunting, and family camping. After retirement he spent most of his days enjoying woodworking, planting a garden, and showing off his yard and fruit trees. He also attended many Fortuna car shows with is nephew Paul Faustino and friend Randy Krueger. George remained very active throughout his years and was often seen walking throughout Henderson Center and liked to meet up with his friends at Dave’s Place.

We Love You and We Will Miss You.
