June Dake

June was born in Gilmer Texas February 22 1934 to Troy and Hazel Skipper. She passed away December 11th at Frye's Care home. She was raised in Eureka, CA. June attended Eureka Schools, graduating from Eureka High school in 1952 . She worked at Walsh's after she graduated. June married and had one child. 

June was active in the Sorority, Beta Sigma Phi, and participated in many fun activities, including their annual Halloween party. June worked at Freeman & Matsen Insurance agency . June married Larry Dake in 1967. She and Larry spent time at their summer home at Trinity Center, enjoying boating and skiing. Later time was spent in Willow Creek. June enjoyed Golf and was a member of Baywood Golf & Country Club. June was an excellent cook and enjoyed giving dinner parties. She was always a wonderful host at family Christmas dinners. She loved being a grandma. 

June is survived by her husband, Larry Dake, her daughter, Kim McLaughlin (husband Larry) , Step children Lisa Doval (Dann ) Loran Dake (Linda). Grandchildren Jodi, Ross, Katie, Ryan and Carly. Great Grandchildren, Lola & Joey. Gabe & Alex. Her sister, Jill Brown (Mike) and numerous nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Troy & Hazel Skipper, Grandmother, Lillie Skipper, brother Dee Skipper, and stepson Shawn Dake. Special thank you to Frye's Care Home and Hospice of Humboldt.
