REX H. GOTT Rex Harold Gott was born near Ava, Missouri, to parents Edgar and Eva Gott on November 12, 1933. He passed from this life at his home on July 20, 2018, after living a full and happy life.
Rex was known for his deep and abiding faith in his God and Lord. Rex spent his entire working life as a logger, a career of which he was very proud. Together, he and his wife, Chloe, owned and operated Gott Logging Company, logging in Humboldt and Trinity Counties for nearly 30 years.
He leaves behind very fond memories for his family and friends. He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years and 9 months, Chloe; his son Harold (and wife, Linda); grandchildren Jennifer, Robert, Ellen, Angel and Amber; and two great-grandsons that were the great joy of his life. (In his sight, they were perfect.) He is also survived by two brothers, Norman and family, Kenneth and family; two sisters-in-law, Donna and family, Kathy and family; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; by his son Tim; by one sister, Mildred; and by three brothers, Jim, Gene and Chet.
Rex lived his life always thanking and praising God and helping anyone in any way he could. He will be deeply missed. The Memorial Service will be held at Sander's Funeral Home on Saturday, July 28th @ 1:00 p.m.
