Gwendolyn Faith Condit

GWENDOLYN FAITH CONDIT Mom said goodbye to her family and fell asleep on Saturday evening, August 25, 2018. She was born to James and Leone Harding on December 9, 1933 in Paonia, Colorado. Gwen was raised with 7 siblings, who wintered in Paonia and spent summers at the ranch at Minnesota Creek. Gwen and Marvin married in August of 1950. In 1956 they moved to Eureka, looking for a new and better life. Gwen was for the most part a stay at home mom, we were very fortunate to have her attention and love. Mom would make donuts, molasses taffy, and homemade rootbeer, and many other things with 4 children included in the adventure. When they built their first new home in 1962, mom was there working hard to make it happen. Mom and dad built several new homes until settling in the home she was resided in for the 38 years, making many wonderful memories for all her children and grandchildren. Some of the things mom will be remembered for are the beautiful park like yard that showed the love mom and dad put into it. Mom enjoyed refinishing old pieces of furniture she found, bringing them back to life and beauty. Her home was always spotless and a place her family was welcome. Mom took care of her family in so many ways out of view and unnoticed, wanting to avoid attention to herself. Mom was preceded in death by dad, Marvin Condit in 1998. They raised 4 children: Patricia Bozzoli (David), Keith Condit (Shirley), Dianna Sutter (late husband Bob), Stanley Condit (Glenda). Grandchildren: Oriana, Scott, Ryan, Ezra; Katie, Tony, Beth; Guthrie, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. Mom is also survived by her sister Evelyn, (who is 97 years old), and numerous nieces and nephews. Mom will be greatly missed, by all who love her. There will be no services as per mom's request. We love you mom.
