Mary Ann Bottini Obituary

Mrs. Mary Ann Bottini, age 93 of Eureka, California, died peacefully on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at Timber Ridge of Eureka with family by her side.
Mrs. Bottini (nee Morgan) was born and raised in San Bernardino, California. She was a resident of Eureka for the past 56 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 61 years, K. Dean Bottini, and her younger sister, Carol Lee Davidson.
Mary Ann was always a mentally and physically active individual. Throughout her life she relished swimming and playing tennis, took great joy in her weekly bridge games with friends and family, and could almost always be found with the puzzles section of the newspaper close at hand. She was remarkably healthy and sharp through her 93 years, due undoubtedly in no small part to her love of vegetables and coffee, and her penchant for never sitting still for too long.
Mary Ann was a truly kind and giving person. In years past, she worked for both the San Bernardino and Eureka School Districts. When she retired, she then volunteered for decades with the Evergreen Lodge at St. Joseph's Hospital. Only the COVID-19 pandemic could force her to step back from her active community engagement. She was the kind of person who never forgot a birthday or anniversary, and who always kept in contact with friends and family either by phone or thoughtfully crafted card. Her clever wordplay and attentive notes will be sorely missed by those who were fortunate enough to call her friend, Mom, Grandma, or Aunt.
Mary Ann is survived by daughters Peggy Amstutz and Janet Bottini; sons-in-law Gary Amstutz and Tim Fisher; step-grandchildren Rob Fisher (Kristina White), Amy Goebel (Dave), Stephen Fisher (Erin); granddaughters Elizabeth Euresti and Christiane Amstutz; grandsons-in-law David Euresti and Kyle Barron; great-granddaughter Marisol Euresti; nieces Christine Taylor (LeRoy Wilsted) and Karen Taylor; nephews Scott Davidson and Christopher Davidson; grandnephew Brent Davidson; and grandnieces Lillian Wilsted and Tracie Davidson.
Private family services will be held soon. A celebration of Mary Ann's life will follow at a date as yet to be determined.
