Megan McAllister

Manager, Funeral Director (FDR-3400), Embalmer (EMB-9317) Pre-Arrangement Specialist ( OK 166970)

Megan was born and raised in Sacramento, California. Megan has been working in the funeral industry since she graduated mortuary school in 2010. She moved to Humboldt County in 2011.

 She enjoys volunteering both locally and internationally. Megan has held community service chair positions in her local service club and is a board member of a local non-profit, Inspire One.

 Megan likes trail running, mountain biking, kayaking and taking advantage of all the outdoor adventures Humboldt County has to offer.

Sandy Kutzkey

Funeral Director (FDR-2426) and Embalmer

Sandy has been in funeral service for over 20 years. While she has worked in Siskiyou and Shasta counties, Humboldt County is by far her favorite. She moved here in 2011 and dedicated herself to the families she helps and the community she lives in. She is compassionate, experienced and helps people through a difficult time through confidence and kindness. 

Sandy lives in Arcata with her cat, Olive. She enjoys writing poetry, and short stories. Sandy loves to browse through book stores and spends a lot of time at the beach.

Deana Gurney

Family Service Specialist

Deana Gurney was born and raised in Humboldt County. She loves her community and believes Humboldt to be one of the most beautiful places on earth.

Before working at Sanders Funeral Home, she was a certified nursing assistant for nine years. Deana loves to dance and spend time with her two children.

Chrissy Hopkins

Chrissy Hopkins


Chrissy was born and raised in Humboldt County. She is a new student at American River College, attending for a degree in mortuary science and aiming for a degree in business.

She lives with her loving boyfriend, a three year old Australian Shepherd and an older tuxedo cat.

In her free time, Chrissy enjoys playing piano, sketching, reading fantasy or mystery books, and exploring the beautiful redwood forests Humboldt County has to offer. 

Glenn Roslosnik


Glenn was born in Butte, Montana and has called Humboldt County his home since 1960. Glenn and his wife, Tamara, have three sons and two grandsons.
