Pamela Steele-Wimer Obituary

PAMELA STEELE-WIMER Pam was born on 10/14/1947 in Eureka, California, and passed away on 7/23/2018 of respiratory illness in Eureka. She graduated from Eureka High School in 1965 and was a beautician for over 20 years, and a bartender and cook at Del Norte Golf Course for the past several years. She was an avid golfer and includes among her most notable accomplishments winning the women's Humboldt-Del Norte golf championship. Pam was a member of the Elks and women's golf clubs in Eureka and Del Norte. She enjoyed spending time with her many friends, and one of her favorite activities was fishing with her uncle Wes at Mount Shasta. Pam was always one to enjoy a good party, but she most liked any activity that got her outside in the warm sunshine! She could be very direct, enjoyed a good laugh, loved to joke with people, and typically had a big smile for everyone. Pam is survived by her son, Weston McBride, of San Antonio, Texas; daughter-in-Law, Kassandra McBride; granddaughters Rachael and Jennalyn McBride; mother, Mae Steele; brother, Bucky Steele; nieces, Cindy Kelly, Carol Ringer, and Cathy Christy; and nephews, Brandon Steele and Kyler Steele. She is predeceased by her husband, Larry Wimer; father, Chuck Steele; sister, Julie Howard; and sister-in-law, Kathy Steele. Her family sends its sincere appreciation to Hospice of Humboldt for their personal care. Donations can be made in Pam's name to Hospice of Humboldt at https://www.hospiceofhumboldt.org/. Per her wishes, public services will not be held. Pam's family asks family and friends to share memories and/or condolences on her page on the Sanders Funeral Home website: https://www.sanderseureka.com/notices/Pamela-Steele-Wimer
